St. Moritz, Switzerland
Nira Alpina is an elegant and new hotel situated at the top end of the Engadin valley. Its spectacular views of the village of Surlej and Lake Silvaplana beyond are definitely worth the visit.
Only 5km from St. Moritz, Nira Alpina’s ski-in, ski-out location is hard to beat and is one of the few who can boast it here. With access to the entire ski area, the Corvatsch cable car is literally attached to the building making it easy for you to be the first ones on the slope.
The Nira Alpina’s contemporary feel is cleverly designed to ensure that all of its 70 rooms feature ceiling to floor panoramic views of Lake Silvaplana and the valley below. Its unique and modern vibe is enhanced by its excellent facilities and a welcoming and homely atmosphere.
The hotel is suited to all ages, be it groups, couples or entire families. The childcare is exceptional offering their own ‘kids room’ which is permanently supevised for children aged 3+, and is packed full of books, games and other entertainments.
The idyllic Nira Spa has relaxation rooms, a well-equipped gym, a sauna and whirlpool – the perfect wind down after an active day on the slopes. The coloured mood lighting and underwater relaxation bed add that extra element of luxuriousness.
Nira Alpina offers many different types of cuisine in its restaurants. The Stars restaurant offers panoramic views of the lake and is a foodies heaven. Serving delicious Worldly cuisine, including many Asian dishes, its THE dinner venue. The Stala Veglia Restaurant is more traditional, serving Swiss dishes from the region, complete with pine panelling and an Alpine air. The modern Rooftop Bar comes with a resident DJ, dishes from all over the world and a more après-ski feel. This is the ideal place to chill out with a cocktail. If you feel like more simple food, head to The Bistro. It features healthy options, kids meals and a gorgeous Alpine view on the sunny terrace. There is even an in-house bakery serving a fantastic selection of fabulous pastries and cupcakes, as well as freshly-baked bread.
