A world of majestic animals, sweeping grasslands, sandy beaches and breathtaking sunsets. One of our favourite regions in Africa is Kenya because it gives you the “real safari” experience like nowhere else.
Dreaming of safari? Our specialists have handpicked an exclusive portfolio of lodges and bespoke luxury safaris in Kenya’s premier wildlife-spotting areas, away from the masses.
We work closely with two families in the Laikipia Northern frontier who are descendents of the original pioneer settlers in East Africa. Their lodges are set amongst pristine wilderness, blending the classic African safari hallmarks of luxury and service with a sensitive approach to responsible tourism and conservation.
Kenya’s diversity is truly astonishing. Home to mighty Mount Kenya, the breathtaking Masai Mara National Park and the biggest wildlife migration on earth, you can also lap up the clear waves on Kenya’s idyllic Swahili coast. To wind down in style, we can take you sailing on a traditional dhow boat or set you up in a beautiful beach villa on the exclusive (but wonderfully laid-back) island of Lamu.
The Maasai Mara is world famous for it’s exceptional population of lions, leopards and cheetahs. The annual migration of zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, and wildebeest every year from July to October is one of the most sought after safari experiences. The country gained even more attention with the widely popular BBC Television programme, “Big Cat Diary”.
The Great Rift Valley is a large trough that runs through Kenya from north to south. The floor is broken by volcanoes, some still active, and the region is home to a series of lakes that are key locations on the West Asian-East African Flyway, a route followed by huge numbers of birds on their annual migration.
The regions of Laikipia and Northern Kenya are very special, and great destinations to go with your loved one or as a family. There are plenty of activities for children, and it is great for horseback riding over the plains amongst the vast herds of wildebeest, zebra and buffalo.
The Kenyan Coast offers superb snorkeling, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, kite surfing, and of course, stunning sunsets. Lay back and stretch out on one of the many white sandy beaches that line Kenya’s coastline, soaking up the sun after your safari.
And last but not least is Kenya’s bustling capital, Nairobi. Taste some of the city’s best coffee at Java House, a popular coffee chain, and sample the delicious local cuisine – ‘Nyama Choma’, or barebecued meat. There are some great luxury boutique hotels on the outskirts of the city with a great selection of gourmet food.
