On Lombok’s unspoiled Sira peninsula, overlooking neighbouring Bali’s Mount Agung and the celebrated Gili Islands, Sira Beach House is one of Indonesia’s most perfect island retreats.
Situated within its own palm grove and glorious lawns, the 6 bedroom Sira Beach House is a beautiful and fully-staffed beach front family-friendly villa. Pristine beaches and clear warm waters are a few short steps away from the house. Guests have easy access to fantastic snorkelling and diving, and the property boasts its own salt water swimming pool and tennis court, backing right onto the beautiful Kosaido golf course.
All bedrooms and bathrooms are air conditioned complete with picture windows, ceiling fans, mosquito nets and bamboo shutters which fold away so you can see the views around you. The rooms feel completely part of the garden in which they sit. The two Beach Pavilions have glorious views of the beach and a rather honeymoon feel to them. Sira Beach House has been designed with children in mind and is supremely child friendly. The Garden Pavilions are best for children and they have a third bed which can accommodate an extra child or nanny. The location on a calm and private beach is an ideal safe haven for the children and the staff at the villa will take them onto the beach to build sandcastles and to find unusual shells.
Sira Beach House has also been designed with the environment in mind. Great care was taken to maintain the existing mature palm grove with buildings carefully positioned between the trees. The materials and skills employed – including bamboo shingle and palm thatch for the roofs, river stone walls and coconut columns – were sourced locally where possible, and the hand-woven bamboo screens were made by local artisans. Furthermore, the house’s infrastructure features state-of-the-art eco technology: the hot water is solar heated and the waste water is organically-treated and re-cycled for the lawns and organic vegetable garden. The swimming pool, too, was designed using the best environmental practices: salt water, with a chlorination back up to maintain the highest standards.
