Covering 450acres of dense palm groves and tropical vegetation, the private island resort of Laucala takes you back to nature and a breathtaking paradise like no other. Self-sufficiency and independence is the integral philosophy at Laucala – from the use of home-grown ingredients to caring for its own livestock and vegetation – Laucala Island Resort sets the benchmark for luxury green travel.
Wake up gently to the beautiful bird songs and the dreamy panoramic views of the shimmering South Pacific waters speckled with blue and green. The experience of traditional Fijian lifestyle presents 25 Fijian spacious bures (Fijian for house) that dot the pristine resort grounds, all built out of indigenous materials. Thatched roofs and handcrafted guest products are some of the main features of your residence, alongside exclusively designed interiors, private pool as well as indoor and outdoor stone tubs.
Spend a day at the invigorating Laucala Spa Centre or take a plunge and sunbath on the many islets all around the lagoon. Let the Fijian adventures begin by putting at the 18-hole championship golf course designed by David McLay Kidd, fishing in the surrounding open sea, combing the pearly white beaches on a horse, and not forgetting, water sports activities offered at the fully-equipped Laucala Island Water Sports Centre.
Be spoilt for choice with the resort’s impressive culinary choices from elegant fine dining at the Plantation House to the parade of innovative finger food served at the Pool Bar, all made from foods produced on the island itself. End your day with a refreshing cocktail at the Rock Lounge or the Beach Bar to the enchanted night skies and illuminated Tiki torches along the beach.
