Day 1: Arrive into Cape Town
On arrival into Cape Town you will collect your hire car and drive to the V&A Waterfront and onto your classic boutique hotel – Cape Grace. With the yacht marina on one side, the working harbour on the other side and Table Mountain as a backdrop, this hotel is a stunning luxury boutique in a prime location.

Day 2: Cape Town
Situated between Robben Island and Table Mountain in the heart of Cape Town’s working harbour, the V&A Waterfront has become one of South Africa’s most visited destinations. Aside from the myriad of shops, restaurants and bars there is a more cultural side to the Waterfront, focused around the historic Clock Tower, from where the boats depart for Robben Island. The Waterfront is a wonderful place to soak up some typical Cape Town vibe.

Day 3 - 4: Cape Town
Cape Town is one of the world’s most iconic cities and there are plenty of activities and excursions on offer whilst in this vibrant city. Enjoy walks around Table Mountain and Lion’s Head offering spectacular views of the city, a trip to Robben Island (where Nelson Mandela was held captive) including a tour conducted by a former inmate, visit the African Penguin colony at Boulders Beach and soak up the sun at some of Cape Town’s fantastic beaches.
The following day enjoy a day sightseeing around Cape Town.

Day 5: Cape Town – Gaansbai
Today you will make your way to Gaansbai along the Garden Route and onto Grootbos Forest Lodge (meaning ‘Big Forest’). This is the premier destination for diving with Great White Sharks as well as seeing the ‘Marine Big Five’ – dolphins, whales, sharks, penguins and seals.
Day 6-7: Gaansbai
Grootbos Forest Lodge has many fantastic activities for you to make the most of during your stay. Whale Watching tours are highly recommended during the months of June – December. Other activities available to you range from Flower Safaris, beach visits, horse riding, scenic flights to birding tours.
Spend the next day at Grootbos to enjoy some of the activities on offer. Other eco-friendly activities include nature drives and hikes to explore the plants and archaeological caves.
day 8: Gaansbai – Plettenberg Bay
Today you will continue along the Garden Route and on to Kurland Hotel in Plettenberg Bay. The Garden Route is a 300km area of natural beauty with its Indian Ocean coastline, dense indigenous forests, dramatic ravines, lagoons and Outeniqua Mountains.
Day 9 - 10: Plettenberg Bay
Kurland is situated on an impressive 700 hectare polo estate in the heart of the Garden Route. Neat horse paddocks, stables, polo fields and forests make up the perimeter of the property which encourages equestrian activity and long relaxing forest walks. You can also rejuvenate your mind, body and soul at the Kurland Spa with its private steam, sauna and therapy rooms, gym and refreshing plunge pool.
The following day take a day trip to Tsitsikamma Forest which is a wonderful trip from Kurland. The 25 minute drive takes you to an area of breathtaking beauty with spectacular deep gorges which can be viewed from bridges.
Day 11: Plettenberg Bay
A further day to enjoy all the wonderful activities in and around Kurland. Activities range from golf, scenic flights, cultural village visits, mountain biking to fishing and diving.
Day 12: Plettenberg Bay – Kwandwe
Today you will drive to the Eastern Cape and onto Kwandwe Ecca Lodge. The landscape of the Eastern Cape is distinctive and instantly recognisable with undulating hills, punctuated by tall aloes, euphorbia and bushy cape scrub as well as brightly coloured Xhosa houses. This is a malaria-free area which offers exceptional game viewing opportunities.
Stay: Kwandwe Ecca Lodge
day 13 - 14: Kwandwe
Enjoy morning and evening game drives to spot the ‘Big 5’ when the animals are at their most active. Relax in the afternoons and evenings in the lodge and appreciate the stunning views.

Day 15: Kwandwe – Port Elizabeth
Today you will make your way to Port Elizabeth in time for your onward flight.
