Day 1: Arrive in Siem Reap

Upon your arrival in Siem Reap, you’ll be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel for check in.

Your first tour introduces you to Cambodia’s rich food history. You’ll learn about ingredients, sample the markets, street food stalls and hard to find restaurants, and visit lesser-known hotspots where the locals like to eat.

Stay: Belmond La Residence D'Angkor

Day 2: Siem Reap

This morning you’ll visit the temple of Banteay Srei which displays some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art and remarkable fine bas-reliefs.

Afterwards, you’ll go to the Golden Silk Pheach Farm, a local NGO which keeps this ancient Khmer tradition alive, as well as provides jobs for the locals. The farm area, mulberry trees and weaving ateliers can be seen as part of the excursion.

You’ll return to Siem Reap for lunch before heading to Kompheim Village, a beautiful farming village. You’ll be escorted on a walking tour, wandering past rice fields, buffalo and oxen, and the local community.

There’ll be the chance to stop at a local pagoda for a monk blessing, before finishing the day at a local house, enjoying a glass of wine and canapés as the sun sets.

Stay: Belmond La Residence D'Angkor

Day 3: Siem Reap

You’ll start the day with an early morning visit to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat.

Your tour then continues to Srah Srong – a 900-year-old baray (man-made lake) – for an unforgettable champagne breakfast.

After breakfast, you’ll move on to Ta Prohm temple. Built in the mid-12th to early 13th centuries, Ta Prohm has been left largely as it was found: overgrown by jungle trees and vines, with many parts crumbling to the ground.

From here you’ll go to the ancient city of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire under the reign of Jayavarman VII.

In the evening you’ll attend a performance of ‘Phare, the Cambodian Circus’. Set up in Battambang in 1994 by young returnee Cambodians from the refugee camps, the show mixes traditional and modern theatre, music, dance, acrobatics and juggling.

Stay: Belmond La Residence D'Angkor

Day 4: Siem Reap - Phnom Penh

After breakfast you’ll be transferred to Siem Reap for your flight to Phnom Penh, where you’ll be met on arrival and taken to your hotel.

This afternoon, you’ll experience the sights of Phnom Penh in a Cyclo, an original Phnom Penh means of transportation and a fun way to visit Wat Phnom, the Royal Palace, and the National Museum.

In the evening you’ll watch a traditional dance performance by Cambodian Living Arts (CLA).

Stay: Raffles Hotel Le Royal

Day 5: Phnom Penh - Sihanoukville - Song Saa Resort

This morning you’ll depart to Sihanoukville where you’ll have a small city tour before taking the speedboat to the private island of Song Saa.

The rest of the day will be spent at your leisure.

Stay: Song Saa
