The lodge provides 19 spacious and charming, thatched-roof bungalows featuring simple, rustic décor, teak floors, canopy beds with fine linen, delightful bathrooms, and verandas with a hammock and an outdoor shower. For those wanting maximum luxury and privacy, the Canopy Honeymoon Suite is stunning. It includes a fabulous plunge pool and is accessible via a private suspension bridge. Jungle View rooms are ideal for families. These are the only ones with electricity.
The open-air restaurant serves up mouthwatering gourmet cuisine prepared using fresh, locally grown, organic ingredients. You can choose to dine 60 feet above the jungle floor amid the branches of an ancient Kapok tree or enjoy a candlelit dinner by the riverbank.
There is an array of activities and excursions on offer including kayaking, canyoning and horse riding. Back at the lodge, be pampered with a massage in the spa or relax with a cocktail in the lounge.

- Location & Getting There
The Pacuare Lodge is located in the heart of Costa Rica. Guests will be picked up from the San Jose hotel and transported to the banks of the Pacuare River for their 1.5 hour journey to the Pacuare Jungle Lodge. Alternatively, guests can choose to drive to the hotel, which takes approximately 2.5 hours from San Jose.
There are a total of 19 bungalows at Pacuare Lodge. The Jaguar Villa is the most luxurious of all and is located on the banks of the Pacuare River, surrounded by a spectacular view of the waterway and the tropical foliage. Well-furnished with hardwood floors and teak furniture that breathes elegance yet simplicity, the suite has plenty of open space, including a private terrace with a spring-fed pool, outdoor showers and spacious bathrooms. Perfect for honey-mooners and couples, the Canopy Honeymoon Suite provides a 180 degree rainforest view. Elegantly well furnished with a king size canopy bed and an adjacent covered deck which comprises of a hammock and a rattan sofa, the entire suits opens up to a sundeck with small stone swimming pool fed by spring water.

There is an abundance of activities to partake in at Pacuare River Lodge. Exploring the verdant tropical rainforests whilst white-water rafting or trekking through the lush vegetation are a must.
