Aman Sveti Stefan is a stunning hotel set on the tiny, iconic islet of Sveti Stefan in the centre of the Adriatic coastline in Montenegro. It has been carefully restored and transformed into Montenegro’s most luxurious boutique hotel and offers spectacular views of the sea. The island, once a 15th century fortress, is charming and is filled with narrow cobbled streets and picturesque courtyards.

The hotel provides 50 spacious and stylish rooms, cottages and suites, in addition to the magnificent eight-suite Villa Miločer, which lies across the bay on the mainland and comes with its own pool. Each room is individually designed, and full of character, and offers delightful views over the sea, rooftops or courtyards.

Montenegro is a breathtakingly beautiful hidden gem that is waiting to be explored. An array of guided excursions is on offer from wine tasting to cycling and bird watching. Other activities include boat cruises and water sports such as sailing, diving and waterskiing. Or, simply laze by the cliff swimming pool as you admire the spectacular view.

Location & Getting there

Aman Sveti Stefan is situated in Montenegro, on the coast of the Adriatic Sea in Southeastern Europe between Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Albania. The hotel can be accessed via three main airports: in Montenegro, Tivat Airport is 34 km (30-minute drive) from the resort, while Podgorica Airport (also known locally as Golubovci Airport) is 54 km and just over an hour’s drive away. Dubrovnik Airport in Čilipi, Croatia is approximately a 2½-hour drive away.


Each of the 50 rooms features simple décor, wood furnishings, a king-size bed, a separate living room and a luxurious bathroom. The Sveti Stefan Suite is magnificent and comes with its own swimming pool. The 8 suites in Villa Miločer are beautifully decorated and come with freestanding bathtubs.

These include boating on the Adriatic; visiting the old towns of Budva and Cetinje and the beautifully-preserved baroque city of Perast; discovering peaceful Skadar Lake and exploring the Bay of Kotor, a World Heritage Site. Cycling, bird watching and wine tasting are also available. There are six spa cottages on the island.


Children are welcome but facilities for them are limited and the steps on the island may not be suitable for those with young children.
