Day 1

Arrival Athens, Greece

Upon arrival at the airport you’ll be escorted by car to your accommodation. The remainder of your day will be spent at leisure.

Day 2

Athens

Get to know Athens on a private guided tour of the city.

You’ll visit its most famous monument, the Acropolis, to learn its fascinating history, tour the Acropolis Museum, and pass through several of Athens’ vibrant neighbourhoods.

Day 3

Athens – Delphi

It’s an early start this morning as you’re escorted to Delphi, a scenic drive of around 2.5 hours.

Here you’ll explore the Delphic Oracle, the most important oracle in the ancient world, then visit the traditional mountain village of Arachova for a lunch of Greek delicacies before returning to Athens.

Day 4

Athens – Mykonos

Start your day with a cycling tour of Athens, visiting the ancient Agora, Kerameikos, Roman Agora, ancient theatre of Dionysus, and Plaka.

Then take a short flight to the Cycladic island of Mykonos, where you’ll be greeted and transferred to your accommodation.

Relax and enjoy some leisure time.

Day 5

Mykonos – Delos

Today you’ll head on an excursion to the nearby island of Delos, mythical birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. Enjoy a private guided tour of this sacred island and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 6

Mykonos

Spend today enjoying the delights of Mykonos.

Day 7

Mykonos

Continue to enjoy Mykonos at leisure.

Day 8

Mykonos – Madrid, Spain

It’s time to depart Greece and catch your flight to the capital of Spain, Madrid.

Upon arrival, you’ll be escorted to your hotel in the heart of the city, where you can check in and marvel at the views from the rooftop.

In the evening, watch a flamenco show at one of Madrid’s famous tablaos.

Day 9

Madrid

Get to know Madrid on a private guided tour.

You’ll start at one of the city’s most famous museums, the Prado, where you’ll experience the works of Goya, Velazquez, Zurbaran and El Greco.

In the evening, give your taste buds a treat with an insider’s tapas tour of the city.

Day 10

Madrid – Toledo

Today you’ll head south for a day’s excursion to the medieval city of Toledo.

Here, you’ll explore the city’s Christian, Jewish and Muslim heritage, including the cathedral, which houses paintings by El Greco, Van Dyck and Goya.

Day 11

Madrid – Barcelona

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Madrid railway station to catch your high-speed train to Barcelona. You’ll be greeted and escorted to your hotel, where you can settle in and enjoy some leisure time.

Day 12

Barcelona

Be introduced to Barcelona on a half-day guided bike tour of the city. You’ll visit the Gothic Quarter, old harbour, Ciutadella Park, and see many of Gaudi’s famous creations including the Sagrada Familia.

Day 13

Barcelona – Montserrat – Barcelona

This morning, enjoy a half-day excursion to nearby Montserrat, where you’ll visit the monastery and explore its unique natural parks.

After lunch return to Barcelona where you’ll spend the afternoon learning about the works of Gaudi and his contemporaries.

Day 14

Barcelona – Girona – Figueres

Enjoy a full-day excursion to Girona, a historic city near Barcelona.

Stroll through the narrow winding streets, explore one of Europe’s best-preserved Jewish quarters, and visit the impressive cathedral.

In the afternoon, explore some of Catalonia’s medieval villages or head to Figueres, hometown of Dali, to visit his superb museum.

Day 15

Departure

Today you’ll be escorted to the airport for your onward journey.
