Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe
Deep in the heart of what was once the royal hunting ground of Ndebele kings, The Hide Lodge sits regally in the wild, beneath a canopy of trees. Overlooking the waterhole, canvas and thatch structures belie the luxury within. Contemporary, classic, and light, The Hide tents are pleasingly spacious and uniquely styled, creating an elegant retreat in the heart of Zimbabwe.
The hub of the camp is the signature “A” frame lodge that houses the dining room, sun lounge, and an expansive viewing area upstairs, perfectly perched to take in the diverse wildlife wandering by. There is also a plunge pool for a cooling mid-afternoon dip.
Wake up to the first calls of robins as the dawn light starts to stretch across the horizon. Enjoy a cup of fresh coffee on your veranda while you watch elephants, giraffes, and zebra at the waterhole nearby. At the end of the day, soak in a soothing hot bath as the buffalo stroll by or relax with an outdoor shower under the stars. Whether on a drive to one of Hwange’s game-rich pans or on foot exploring the wild, there is never a dull moment at The Hide.
