Shakti 360 Leti

Northern India , India

This world-class camp is located deep within the Indian Himalayas with outstanding views and ultra luxurious accommodation.

Combining style and adventure, Shakti 360 Leti offers an unforgettable experience: exemplary style and service together with extreme peace and solitude. The elegantly designed buildings were constructed with local materials and age-old techniques. There are just four rooms perched high on a precipice with huge glass windows – perfect for panoramic mountain views and majestic stargazing – and a communal area with fine dining and a lovely fireplace.

Eagles soar and swoop and there’s no sound other than the breeze and occasional birdsong. Pack your fishing gear and hike down to the river at the base of the valley for a picnic lunch. Take privately guided walks through ancient rhododendron forests or practice yoga and meditation with views across dramatic peaks and valleys.

In the evening, gather around the lodge fireplace before dinner by candlelight.

Why we recommend Shakti 360 Leti

This is one of the most exclusive remote mountain retreats around, forcing you to unwind and disconnect from the world as there is no internet and mobile coverage. With just four rooms there’s a feel of a tiny village. Considering the effort required to get there, I'd recommend a minimum of three nights here, and if you have the luxury of time, head on the village walk which has been carefully designed for guests who want panoramic views but aren’t serious trekkers.
