A traditional hotel with views of Ngapali Beach, Sandoway Resort is the perfect base from which to discover Myanmar’s forgotten coast. Spanning over six acres along the refined, sandy stretch of white Ngapali Beach and fringed by swaying palm trees, the Sandoway Resort commands panoramic views of the Bay of Bengal. Built with stone carvings, hardwood and marble, the 56 open-air Villas and Cottages are culturally distinct and full of Southeast Asian grandeur.
The hotel restaurant is beautifully located on the spacious terrace overlooking the beach, allowing guests to dine among memorable surroundings and the sound of crashing waves.
The resort’s unique features include a cosy library and a 58-seat theatre, a spa and a swimming pool. Take to the waters of Bengal Bay on a sail boat, rounding-up your stay with a bike-ride to the colourful market in Thandwe, set in what was once a British prison.
