Ol Lentille is located in the rolling hills of the Laikipia Plateau, in the 40,000-acre Ol Lentille Conservancy. The Sanctuary accommodates a maximum of 14 adults and 6 children in four guest houses. Exclusivity is guaranteed. The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille is located within a 40,000 acre private conservancy in the African wilderness, just north of Mount Kenya. Nanyuki Airport receives daily flights from Nairobi Wilson Airport and is a 1.5 hour drive in a 4WD vehicle from Ol Lentille.
It’s difficult to imagine a more luxurious way to experience Kenya than at The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille. Four secluded villas offer a range of accommodation options, each fully staffed, exquisitely designed, and outfitted with every possible comfort.
The Chief’s House offers three-bedrooms and commanding views of the mountains and deserts of northern Kenya, along with a sitting room, an open fireplace, and a plunge-pool on the outdoor deck where you can swim under the stars.
The Colonel’s House is a two-bedroom, two-storey villa with the overall feeling of an authentic bush home of a well-travelled military man. Brass-bound furniture, oriental carpets, and a beautiful Knole sofa in front of an open fire will reconnect you with a bygone era of comfort and style.
The Sultan’s House is a one-bedroom romantic hideaway with a 40-foot long living room, a four-poster bed draped in gossamer, and a jade green handmade bath. Swahili accents and the whitewashed boughs of African olive tree are architectural delights.
Finally, the Eyrie is named after an eagle’s nest, and sits perched on top of a rocky outcrop, boasting some of the lodge’s best views. This is the house for couples, honeymooners, and wedding anniversary celebrations. A personal dining pavilion – a stunning octagonal room – is lit by mirrored candle sconces and the open-air bathtub is perfect for candlelit bathing under the starry sky.

Children of all ages are welcome at Ol Lentille. Children aged four and under are free and children from 5 – 15 years old only pay 50% of the adult rate and have their own private adjoining bedroom and bathroom. Babysitting can easily be arranged if parents need a bit of time to themselves.
