Philippines’ Private Island Paradise

Ideal for a couple looking to have the whole place to themselves, this 7-night stay on Ariara Island, a stunning private island in the Philippines, couldn’t be more perfect.

Located just off the island of Coron, Philippines, an hour’s flight from Manila, this privately owned island is the perfect place to relax, get active as well as indulge.

Once you have arrived on the island, you will be greeted by fresh mango smoothies, taken to your villa and introduced to the staff on the island.  Enjoy the main pool or take an evening stroll down the beach where you will be greeted by the island’s very own Labrador!

At sunset drinks will be set up on the pier with the comfiest of bean bags and delicious canapés – all to your required taste. Take a picture of the beautiful sunset, the first of many, and await freshly cooked seafood dinner by your personal chef.

Day 1: Arrive into Manila – Coron – Ariara

Fly direct from Manila airport straight to Busuanga, Coron and start your private island life experience as you are met and greeted and then taken through the town of Coron to the pier where the beautiful traditional Filipino  trimaran, the Karen Joy, awaits you.  Once on board, you will go to a secluded spot in the bay where you will be served a fresh lunch on the breezy top deck with views of the colourful town of Coron.  The next stop is a limestone walled cove with clear waters where you can go for a refreshing swim before making the last trip to Ariara Island where you will stay for the next 7 nights.  An evening arrival is the perfect time to have your first sights of the island with the pier lights welcoming you in.

Day 2: Utter Relaxation

Wake up leisurely and wander into the main dining villa where you can have your choice of breakfast; fruity and healthy or a full fry up. To get an idea of where you are and where the island is, go for a hike to the top of the hill where you can enjoy gorgeous 360-degree views of your surrounding area. Spend the rest of the day lazing by the pool or enjoy the South China Sea.

(Optional: Take a helicopter ride around the surrounding islands)

Day 3: Snorkelling and Bonfires

Plan a snorkelling trip on the house reef and see lion fish, rock fish and puffer fish amongst a rare variety of corals.   Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the pool or on the beach before a relaxing massage in the open air sala.  You’ll be fully relaxed in time for a BBQ dinner on the beach of fresh fish, squid and steak.  The setting is beautiful with a bonfire and tiki torches to light your way.

Day 4: Scuba Time

After you have seen the island and relaxed, take a trip to one of the unexplored reefs or wrecks for some of the world’s most exceptional scuba diving.  Be on the lookout for several species of turtle, endangered dugongs (seacows) or indigenous blue starfish. Take advantage of the experience of the island’s dive master and take your introduction course to diving or the open water course to become PADI certified.  After a day in the water enjoy cocktails and canapés on the pier by candlelight at sunset.

Day 6: Watersports

Spend this day on the water as opposed to in it. Take the jet skis out and roam around the surrounding islands or if you’re feeling energetic, get the wakeboard out and ride the waves behind the jetski!  The island has all the toys and water sports available at your disposal, all you need to do is ask.
