This high Alpine resort boasts an incredible snow record and extensive, lift-served access to off-piste runs. Its reputation for general all-round excellence is evident upon arrival – a must for beginners and professionals alike.
With bunny slopes scattered around the area and with the wide choice of ski schools available, there is plenty of variety for novices. We recommend the Oxygene ski school with its multi-lingual instructors, as well as New Generation ski school.
There are some gorgeous catered chalets in Val d’Isère such as Chalet White Pearl, as well as self-catered ones and hotels – one of our favourites is Hotel Le Brussel’s. Eating out is an experience in itself with a wide range of fine-dining restaurants on offer. There’s no better place for Après-ski than here, with places like Dick’s T-Bar remaining, after 30 years, eternally popular with all age groups.
Val d’Isère is only a 3 hour drive from Geneva airport, or just over 2 hours from Chambery, making it accessible and ideal for a week’s skiing holiday with the family.
