“Anantara boasts one of the best spots in Hoi An on the banks of the Thu Bon River, just a short walk away from the ancient streets, buzzy cafes and beautiful architecture of this charming town. We like the activities that take place here, such as lantern making and cookery classes, which really immerse the guests into Vietnam’s history and culture.”
Located along the scenic Thu Bon River, Anantara Hoi An Resort’s French, Dutch, Chinese and Japanese influences are reflected in this beautiful resort, which is only a short stroll from Hoi An’s colourful and bustling ancient town.
Designed in French colonial style with terracotta-tiled rooftops and open walkways, the rooms and suites are spread over two- and three-storey buildings nestled in the lush gardens.
The rooms and suites are spacious and bright, decorated in neutral tones and with tiled floors and wood furniture. There’s a living area, a queen-sized bed in the bedroom, and the bathrooms have mosaic-tiled showers. Suites have sunken tubs. Each one features an al fresco lounging space overlooking the river or garden.
An expansive buffet breakfast is served at Lanterns. There are light bites at the poolside Reflections bar and high tea is served at the Hoi An Riverside Restaurant.
After a hard day’s sightseeing, the palm-fringed pool is the perfect place to relax.
