Born and raised in Malaysia, Rain spent a year in the UK studying Hospitality and Tourism Management and has been globetrotting ever since. Making the most of her surroundings while she was there, she explored as much of Europe as possible, from France to Switzerland, and Vienna to Rome.
After graduating, Rain joined the luxury travel industry, and has been fortunate enough to see much of Asia, South East Asia and South Africa. A lover of adventure, and experiences that take her ‘off the beaten track’, she names scuba diving in Malaysia, hiking to the Tiger’s Nest in Bhutan, and long outdoor walks in Switzerland as some of her stand-out activities from the past six years. Rain is also fascinated by different cultures, languages and food – especially Japanese cuisine – and she speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, Bahasa Melayu and basic Japanese.
She counts herself super-lucky to have a job that allows her to continue to travel and learn, and to share in the excitement with her clients when planning their trips.
Rain 's Picks
- Hotel: The Mont Cervin Palace, Zermatt - This is a classic luxury hotel, and I stayed in a beautifully furnished room here with views of the spectacular Matterhorn. I loved standing on the balcony in the morning, enjoying the breeze with a cup of Earl Grey - the best way to start a day!
- City: Paris - This is a city that moves my heart. It’s just so beautiful and filled with great food and history. The memory of walking along the Champs Elysees, and sitting in one of the local Parisian cafés savouring delicious coffee, is one of my favourites.
- Memory: White shark cage diving in Gansbaai, South Africa - It was a total adrenaline rush getting so up close to such magnificent animals. Experiencing a safari game drive in Botswana was also awesome, especially as I was lucky enough to see the Big 5.
