“With just seven rooms, Hotel Casa Oaxaca is an exclusive property and highly regarded in the area. Situated in a 18th-century colonial house with a central patio, typical of Oaxaca's historic centre, it oozes charm and intimacy. The food here is also acclaimed and prepared by Chef Ruiz, one of Mexico's most gifted. His lunch and dinner menus are a delicious combination of meat, fish and seafood dishes, all with rich moles (sauces), fruit and exotic vegetables.”
Set in an 18th century colonial mansion, Casa Oaxaca is an intimate design hotel in the heart of the city. This exclusive property has been renovated with a whitewashed courtyard draped in flowering plants and cacti, a kidney-shaped swimming pool, and one of the best restaurants in Oaxaca.
The seven guestrooms and suites are elegant and contemporary, with whitewashed walls, rich polished woods, traditional local textiles and vibrant Oaxacan artworks. The premium suites feature a terrace or private patio.
Casa Oaxaca’s restaurant is divided between two locations: a dining area serving breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and a larger restaurant two-minutes away next to Santo Domingo Church. Both serve traditional Oaxacan cuisine.
Many of the hotel’s activities feature food and art, with market trips, cookery classes, wine and mezcal tastings. If you need pampering, there’s a traditional temazcal steam bath and massages and yoga classes available.
