Located in the historic mining town of Stewart, BC, close to the border with Alaska, Ripley Creek Inn is one of the bases used by Last Frontier Heli-skiing. Set against a dramatic glacial landscape of snow-capped peaks and a rugged fjord, this rustic accommodation is within walking distance of the quirky backstreets and museum of this tiny town.
Ripley Creek Inn is a mix of renovated heritage properties, including prospectors’ homes, an old clothing store, a former brothel, and the tiny hobbit home of a former winemaker. The simple rooms have cosy down duvets, en suites, a small fridge, and coffee/tea-making facilities.
Meals are served at the Bitter Creek Café, which offers hearty food including fresh seafood. It also doubles as the bar.
Heli-skiing is the main attraction. If conditions aren’t favourable, you can walk the Estuary Boardwalk, visit the local museum, and hop over the border into Alaska.
