“Get a glimpse into Omani living at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar with Arabian arches, traditional Majlis seating and design motifs depicting the region’s ancient forts. The striking infinity pool with a belvedere is named after the late Diana, Princess of Wales, who visited the site in 1986. The four restaurants, plus a café and shisha lounge, are great for relaxation.”
Perched on the rim of a dramatic canyon, Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar is one of the world’s highest luxury resorts. Styled like a traditional Omani fort, the resort sits on the Saiq Plateau on the fabled Green Mountain, offering exceptional amenities, first-class cuisine, and breathtaking views.
There are 82 canyon-view rooms and 33 private pool villas, decorated in warm natural tones with pops of colour and intricate detailing. Rooms feature en suites with separate bathtub and rainshower, and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Foodies are spoilt for choice, with three restaurants serving a range of global cuisine, including Middle Eastern, Asian and Italian. There’s also a café and deli, and a shisha bar.
The resort features an infinity pool with viewpoint named after Princess Diana, a spa, and abundant activities including yoga, tennis, and cookery classes. If you can be tempted out, go rock climbing, mountain biking or trekking.
