Arrival in Muscat
Upon arrival, you’ll be met by a representative and privately driven by car to your accommodation.
The Chedi Muscat is a chic boutique hotel occupying a prime beachfront location, and offers an oasis of calm and luxury and a Zen-like ambience.
The remainder of the day will be spent at leisure.
Start your holiday with a privately guided tour of Muscat to see some of its most famous attractions. Explore Old Muscat, where the Portuguese fortresses of Jalani and Mirani are, and the luxurious Sultan’s Palace.
You’ll also see the Bait Al Zubhair museum, which houses a fine collection of Omani artefacts and the Grand Mosque, a stunning complex of extravagant buildings that was completed by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos in 2001.
Muscat - Wahiba Sands
This morning you’ll be transferred into the desert of Oman, Wahiba Sands.
As you travel you’ll see the dry ravines of Wadi Arbaeen, Wadi Tiwi, Wadi Shab and Wadi Bani Khalid. You'll also visit Fins Beach and the Bimah Sinkhole, a magnificent turquoise lake which the locals believe was caused by a meteorite.
You hotel, Desert Nights Camp, is situated in the heart of Wahiba Sands, and here you can try dune bashing safaris, camel rides and sandboarding.
Wahiba Sands - Nizwa
Rise early to enjoy a camel ride, desert trekking, or quad biking before being driven to your next hotel.
On the way you’ll visit Nizwa, the former capital of Oman. See the impressive Nizwa fortress, the former centre of trade, and stroll through the lush green date plantations in Birkat Al Mauz.
You’ll then continue to your next hotel and the rest of the day will be spent at leisure.
