“Don’t be fooled by the name - Chena Huts is a far more glamorous abode than a standard hut – rather, expect enormous climate controlled mod-safari residences with private pools. Luxury lovers will adore the styling, while outdoors, Yala is one of the world’s best spots to see wild leopards and sloth bears.”

Chena Huts sits nestled among dunes and trees at the ocean’s edge, between Yala National Park and the Indian Ocean. Sea turtles come to the beach to lay eggs by moonlight and elephants wander down from the nearby jungle to play in the surf. The resort is fringed on one side by tropical jungle and on the other by a saltwater lake where flamingos can be seen wading close to shore.
Despite the proximity to the thrill of wildlife and nature, this property is a haven of luxurious respite. Fourteen detached private wooden pavilions are nestled throughout, each featuring palm-leaf roofs and private pools. The open style bathrooms with freestanding tubs are incredible, but perhaps suit couples more than friends.
Meals are served at the nautical-themed restaurant which comprises a sea-facing deck and an air-conned interior.
There’s also a sunken bar and a spa directly on site.
