"Feel like you are being entertained by the ambassador in this beautifully appointed old Sri Lankan house. Enjoy the central location and potter around the shops in Galle, go for lunch at nearby Unawatuna beach, or laze by the pool with a good book. It's very well equipped for families with everything you need for babies and young children including a high chair, stair gates and a cot. With a chef on hand no-one will go hungry, and babysitters mean that parents have the opportunity to do some exploring alone."
What was once the home of the Bangladeshi Ambassador is today a majestic tropical villa boasting an abundance of living space, including a roof terrace and huge sitting room. The three en suite double bedrooms open directly onto the stunning courtyard and plunge pool, and the master and twin bedroom offer direct access to the roof terrace.
There is so much to do around the Ambassador’s House – take a relaxing wander around the Fort’s charming backstreets, mingle with the welcoming locals, browse the colourful streets of Galle Town, drive down to the mystical Jungle Beach below Rumassala Hill for some snorkelling or head to Unawatuna Bay for some chill-out time at a rustic bar.
