“It’s simple but stylish and the service is lovely. In winter expect thoughtful touches such as hot water bottles in your bed.”
Complimentary bottle of wine
This charming hotel is situated close to Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Kathmandu, Nepal. Situated just off the beaten track in the south of Kathmandu, it offers a more authentic experience slightly set back from the hustle and bustle.
The Inn Patan is an old, traditional brick and timber Newari house, which has been transformed into a beautiful heritage stay with a delightful courtyard at its centre. Offering just ten rooms and suites, each one is individually designed and features simple but elegant décor, exposed beams, wood furnishings and hand-made rugs. Some also have balconies overlooking the courtyard. The black-slated bathrooms contain beaten-brass basins that have been hand-made by the metal workers of Patan.
Stroll through the local area, browse markets or explore cultural sites within Kathmandu valley. After a tiring day sit down to a romantic Nepali dinner in the courtyard in cosy and relaxing surroundings.
