- Expertly Crafted
- Peace of Mind
After two years of meticulous renovation, the Marktgasse Hotel reopened in 2015, offering guests a haven of luxury and comfort in the heart of Zurich’s Old Town. The historically-listed building, which dates back to the 13th century now seamlessly blends old-world authenticity with modern elegance, creating an incomparable experience for guests from near and far.
Original elements like pillars paneled walls, and tiled stoves combine with clean palettes, streamlined design, and modern Scandinavian furnishings, to create richly layered environments you’ll never want to leave. The 39 rooms (including two suites and six junior suites) each feature unique layouts, offering a new experience with every stay.
On the ground floor, Baltho Bar and the Café Take-out offer simple snacks. On a sunny day, the terrace is the place to sit and observe the comings and goings of city life.
If you can tear yourself away from the exquisite comfort of your room, you’ll be rewarded with boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and bars, all close at hand.
