“Gran Hotel Miramar is all about full-on seaside grandeur. The style of the rooms and suites is particularly impressive, with different décor on each floor. We like the Mediterranean-style rooms where a white backdrop is peppered with starfish designs on the headboards and coral patterns on the bedspreads. Only a quarter of the rooms face the sea and some of them boast gorgeous balconies with marble balustrades.”

Located in the beachfront area of Caleta, Gran Hotel Miramar is a hotel with impressive sea views. Originally opened in 1926, the building has also served as a hospital and Palace of Justice before its grand reopening in 2016. Surrounded by gardens, this glamorous hotel is a member of the exclusive Leading Hotels of the World.
There are guestrooms and suites decorated in a combination of styles including Arabic, Mediterranean, classic and modern. The rooms are light and bright, with rainshowers and freestanding bathtubs in the en suites. The Crown and Royal Suites feature large private terraces with outdoor Jacuzzis.
Dining options include Spanish cuisine, a Mediterranean buffet, and a poolside diner offering fresh fish, meat and paella. Afternoon tea is served in the lobby lounge, and there’s a chill-out bar and wine cellar.
Malaga’s many attractions are nearby, if you can drag yourself away from the swimming pools and spa and wellness centre.
