Perched on the slopes of Utsuvaara Fell in Finnish Lapland, Golden Crown Levin Iglutis a unique hotel consisting of glass igloos and a luxury house surrounded by Arctic wilderness – with front-row seats for the Northern Lights.
The cosy, insulated igloos are made from electrically heated, non-fogging glass. Inside, there’s a small kitchen, shower, toilet, and motorised beds so you can find the optimum position to watch the Northern Lights. Premium igloos offer uninterrupted views, and there’s a luxury house with outdoor hot tub and private sauna.
Restaurant Aurora Sky offers Scandinavian cuisine made from fresh Arctic produce. Located in the main lodge, the top floor of the restaurant has a glass roof.
Levin Iglut is open from the end of August to the end of April. Winter activities include skiing, snowmobiling, reindeer and husky safaris, and snowshoeing, while earlier in the season there’s horse riding, golfing, hiking, and rafting.
