From jungles to Mayan ruins and paradisiacal beaches, these two Central American countries have a lot of beautiful sights to offer. A mix of culture, adventure and relaxation on this two-week itinerary will be an unforgettable voyage.

Day 1

Day 1
Arrival Antigua

Upon arrival at the airport you’ll be met by a representative and privately transferred to your accommodation.

The rest of your day will be spent at leisure.

Day 2

Day 2
Cultural visit of Antigua

Start your day with a visit to the colourful and chaotic Antigua market. Watch as locals go about their daily lives and perhaps buy a few souvenirs.

Afterwards, visit other Antigua landmarks such as Catedral de Santiago, Parque Central, Palacio de los Capitanes Generals and more.

Volcano Ascent

Nestled between three volcanoes, Antigua is the perfect starting ground to venture to either Agua (3766m), Fuego (3763m) or Acatenango (3976m).

Start your ascent early for the best views and to reach a good spot for lunch.

Once you’ve descended, the remainder of the day will be at leisure. Your Lightfoot Travel Designer can advise on activities prior to departure. We recommend a cooking class where you’ll learn how to make local delicacies such as corn tamales, subanik, pepian and chuchitos.

After breakfast you’ll be transferred to Lake Atitlan, a two hour drive away.

After settling in to your accommodation you’ll embark on a boat excursion to discover the villages around Lake Atitlan which include Santiago, San Pedro, San Marcos, San Juan and San Antonio.
