Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain - Chengdu, China
Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain is located an hour away from Chengdu in China and feels like a modern take on a traditional Sichuan village, which fits well with the landscape. The rooms are sublime: spacious, airy and rustic, which adds to the authentic feel. You cannot fault the facilities here, especially the impressive spa, and we’re big fans of the delicious afternoon tea in the pretty tea garden.
The first Six Senses to open in China, Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain is located an hour away from Chengdu and the ideal base from which to explore the neighbouring Qing Cheng Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage & Natural Cultural site.
The resort is filled with meandering paths bordered by streams, bamboo groves and low wooden beamed houses with Chinese roofs. At its heart lies the main reception and pretty square. The 113 spacious suites at Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain are decorated with Chinese contemporary furniture from a palette of natural taupe tones, and boast views from their balconies and verandas.
28 Zodiac will satiate your hunger for Chinese dishes whilst Sala Thai celebrates the country’s tasty cuisine. For a more relaxed ambience, The Moon Bar concocts superb cocktails and offers a wide array of China’s best teas.
No Six Senses hotel would be complete without its signature Six Senses Spa. The one here sits within a soothing garden of willows and bamboo stands. Treatments are inspired by local traditions and offer an extensive menu.
