Renovated in late 2017, the Peninsula Beijing in Beijing, China halved its number of rooms creating an all-suite hotel. Now it boasts some of the biggest suites in Beijing, with the lead in Superior Suites coming in at a spacious 60 square metres. The hotel’s location on Goldfish Lane is perfect for exploring the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, and the Wangfujing shopping street is within walking distance. Overall, this is a lovely place to spend a few nights.

Superior and Deluxe Rooms offer a king bed or double twin beds, with a small sitting area and executive work desk; Grand Deluxe Rooms provide views of the city landscape; Executive Suites feature a separate living room and movie library; Duplex Suites are set over two storeys, with the upper floor offering additional privacy; Deluxe Suites are fully equipped with customised touch room controls and a separate dining and living area; the one-bedroom Beijing Suite features an oversized living area and dining table that sits four; the Peninsula Suite offers the ultimate luxury, comprising a private elevator, guest bedroom, private gym, full satellite kitchen, dining room and a baby grand piano in the living room.
