This luxury tented safari camp lies on a remote acacia tree island alongside an ancient seasonal floodplain in the heart of Hwange National Park in northwest Zimbabwe, an area renowned for its big elephant herds. Somalisa Acacia Camp is located adjacent to its sister property, Somalisa Camp.
Somalisa Acacia Camp offers impeccable service, superb guiding and exceptional game viewing. There are four elegantly furnished canvas tents including two family tents, all decorated with a blend of colonial and tribal decor. Each one is built on a raised teak deck under the canopy of an Acacia grove, the perfect place to unwind with a G&T as you watch animals graze at the waterhole.
Start the day with a thrilling game drive or head out on a bush walk, spend the afternoon by the pool for a close up elephant encounter, and later enjoy mouthwatering cuisine under the stars.
Location & Getting There
Somalisa Acacia Camp is located in Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. It is a 3-hour road transfer from Victoria Falls airport.
Somalisa Acacia accommodates up to eight people in four tents including two family tents with inter-leading walkways between the parents and children’s rooms. Each tent features gauze sliding doors, a glass wood burner, dark teak furniture, an en suite bathroom with indoor/outdoor shower, a copper slipper-style bathtub and flush toilet.
Day and night game drives throughout Zimbabwe, bush walks, bird watching and game viewing from the camp hides are all available at Somalisa Acacia Camp.
Children of all ages are welcome, although it's better suited to families with older offspring.
