Sala's Camp, Maasai Mara, Kenya
Having received a major makeover in 2016, Sala’s Camp in Kenya's Maasai Mara now houses seven large new tents and accommodates up to 22 guests. The location here is excellent; close to the Northern Corridor where millions of wildebeest pass through during the yearly migration. It’s also within close proximity to Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, just over the border.
Located in the southern wilderness of Kenya’s Maasai Mara, Sala’s Camp is a luxury tented camp near the Tanzanian border. Situated at the confluence of the Sand and Keekorok Rivers, this intimate camp offers wildlife and bird viewing, with panoramic views into the Serengeti.
Sala’s Camp accommodates up to 18 guests in seven luxury tents, including a spacious honeymoon tent that’s also suitable for families. The open-fronted tents feature comfortable lounge areas, en suites with hot showers, baths, flush toilets and running water, and decking with private plunge pools.
Safari activities revolve around game drives, with the camp being one of the first to see the annual Great Migration thunder from Tanzania’s Serengeti into the Maasai Mara. A hot air balloon ride gives you a different perspective, while sundowners around the campfire rounds off the day perfectly. Children are catered for with activities showing them the secrets of the bush.
