“Elephant Pepper Camp is the ideal base for those wanting to observe the migration. There are eight double or twin luxury safari tents, and two larger tents for honeymooners families – although there are no specific facilities for children. Enjoy day and night game drives, bush picnics, and candlelit dinners in the dining tent or by the campfire.”
Located in a wildlife-rich area of the Mara North Conservancy, Elephant Pepper Camp is a seasonal tented camp operated by Elewana. Set beneath a grove of fig and elephant pepper trees, it was refurbished in 2014, combining rustic charm with modern comforts.
There are eight double or twin luxury safari tents, and two larger tents for families or honeymooners. Each one features Indian Raj Campaign furniture, woven rugs, and red accents, while the en suites feature flush toilets and hot and cold running showers. Each tent has a veranda with hammock, ideal for lazy wildlife watching.
All meals are provided, with delicious northern Italian cuisine, fresh baking and salads on the menu. The communal area has a bar, lounge, and viewing platform.
Safari activities include day and night game drives with opportunities to observe the migration river crossing between July and October. There are also guided bush walks, horseback safaris, and cultural visits on offer.
