Thanks for your email. We had such a great week skiing! The kids loved their first time skiing – and the kids club there is fantastically organised. The Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver was a great choice – a very luxurious/high tech hotel for us. The one bedroom suite was huge enough for all of us to be comfortable. We enjoyed visiting Stanley Park, GasTown and Robson Street nearby, plus having the great view of the water.
Whistler was great, well organised – but very busy there since CNY, Presidents Week, UK school holidays all were happening the same week! We stayed at Westin which was a great location to ski in and out. Blackcombe upper village seemed more quiet and less congested so we could consider that next time. We really enjoyed a few of the restaurants you guys recommended – namely Araxi, Nagomi, The Grille, and Teppan Village (was fun/entertaining for the kids)! Very fortunately we booked a week in advance for these restaurants – I used Westin concierge and also discovered later the great app OpenTable which showed the current real time availability. Although couldn’t get reservations of some restaurants like Rim Rock, but understand this restaurant is so popular!
It was a great holiday, and skiing might be an annual trip we all loved it so much!
