Everything went very smoothly in terms of the flights and the guides meeting us for travelling to and within Myanmar.
The guides were all friendly, knowledgeable, and organized and seemed genuinely excited about sharing their knowledge of their country with us.
I would especially commend Zaw, our guide in Bagan for his knowledge, friendliness, organization, and professionalism. His passion for the architecture and religious significance of all the temples he showed us was evident. He was also ever helpful for taking photos of us at just the right site, and made sure I felt comfortable and safe doing some of the climbing in and on the temples.
Our guide , Kathy who greeted us in Yangon upon arrival was very well organized, and provided us with all our documents and vouchers that we needed for our stops. She was generous with her time by answering all of our many, many questions during lunch as well as throughout the tour.
Ye lae, our guide on Inle Lake I think had a little more challenging environment to schedule both the boat rides, cars, and touring. His enthusiasm and politeness was ever present. Only once did he become somewhat flustered by a change in our flight time. It seemed we had an earlier departure and he did his best to ensure we still saw what was planned. We rushed through a section of Inle Lake that Jim and I would have like to spend more time on, and we offered to skip lunch so that we could do so. We still went to lunch and made our flight to Bagan that seemed to leave at the originally scheduled time.
So overall really one of the best vacations we have had. Good job organizing Josie. Thank you!! we wouldn’t hesitate to call on you again or recommend you to our friends.
