Villa Bahia Pousada is nestled in the heart of Salvador’s Pelourinho, the historic UNESCO-listed quarter of the city. Made up of two colonial mansions, beautifully converted into a luxury boutique hotel, it sits almost beside the impressive Sao Francisco Church and amongst many other colourful colonial buildings.

The 17 rooms are bright, colourful and individually designed to reflect the colonisation and trade routes of the Portuguese across the world from the 15th Century including Goa, Angola and Timor among others. There are two garden courtyards, a panoramic terrace and a refreshing plunge pool. The restaurant is very well regarded serving up local Bahian treats as well as excellent seafood.

The 17 rooms are bright, colourful and individually designed to reflect the colonisation and trade routes of the Portuguese across the world from the 15th Century. Some rooms include sofa beds, others offer private terraces, while all feature a 32-inch HDTV comes with premium cable channels and a DVD player. Rollaway beds as well as ironing boards are available upon request.
