Uplands Homestead is a three-bedroom colonial-style house located the Kwandwe Private Game Reserve, a malaria-free Big Five reserve on South Africa’s Eastern Cape. This 1905 farmhouse combines old-world splendor with contemporary comforts and there is an air of refined elegance. It has been carefully restored retaining many original aspects such wrought iron chandeliers, clawfoot bathtubs, Damask linen and antique mirrors.

- Location and getting there:
The house is located 160 km east of Port Elizabeth on South Africa’s Eastern Cape close to the Garden Route. It is 2 hours from Port Elizabeth airport.
It accommodates up to 6 guests in three spacious and beautifully appointed bedrooms, each one featuring upholstered furnishings, clawfoot bathtubs and antiques.

This is an ideal place for families but it is recommended for those with children aged 6 and over. Kwandwe is a malaria-free game reserve and there is plenty of space on the homestead for children to run around as well as activities for them to enjoy. Babysitting can be arranged.
