All rooms come with spacious Japanese baths, Balinese influenced interiors, and are steps away from the beach. Screened-in porches complement inner rooms nested within, providing a cool breeze as you enjoy a nap or read in the hammock. There’s also the opportunity to stay on your own private island, just a 25-minute boat ride from the property.

Turtle Inn boasts no less than seven drinking and dining establishments. Enjoy authentic Italian fare at Mare Restaurant or tuck into freshly grilled seafood at Gauguin Grill. Those looking for Belizean fare can head to Auntie Luba’s Kitchen. Kids will be thrilled to know there’s a gelato bar just for them.

After a day of soaking up the sun or kayaking on Placencia Lagoon, guests can head to the Sunset Spa for body treatments. There are two pools to choose from - one a sea-green circle pool by the bar and the other an adult-only triangular infinity pool.

Turtle Inn is a two-minute drive from Placencia Airstrip Terminal, which guests can reach by hopping on a 35-minute flight from Philip Goldson Airport in Belize City.

Accommodation
There are 25 rooms on the beachfront, ranging from individually thatched cottages to a three-bedroom family pavilion. The poolside seaview cottage with private porch and a Japanese bath with an outdoor shower is perfect for couples looking for seclusion. All rooms feature Balinese hand-carved doors and furnishings, come with organic locally sourced toiletries, yoga mats and ceiling fans. The villas, bungalows and beach house were designed for families. With a full kitchen and a private pool, Roman’s Lagoon Bungalow is where families can enjoy the sunset spectacle on the large deck.

Activities
Turtle Inn specialises in professional dive services, making it the perfect base for scuba diving and snorkelling. For guests who are ready to move, the gym will be a good place to start; or opt for yoga sessions. The Sunset Spa provides Thai massages and body treatments. Adventures include ziplining and tubing in the forest, cruising down Placencia Lagoon to spot manatees, and immersing yourself in Mayan culture.
