Topas Ecolodge

Sapa

Tucked beneath the misty mountains of Sapa Valley in Northern Vietnam, Topas Eco Lodge sits above two majestic cone formed hills. Based on sustainable principles, the lodge aims to have a minimum impact on the surrounding environment.

The 33 sophisticated chalet-style bungalows are dotted near the peak of the two hills, each with a balcony. Built with local white granite, the Tay stilt design and lacquered wood panels provide an authentic Vietnamese village atmosphere, so guests feel fully immersed in local life. Rooms are individually decorated, come with all modern conveniences apart from a TV, and are each angled differently for breathtaking views of the mountains.

An on-site restaurant serves local fare, and there’s a heated infinity pool where guests can relax and unwind. The serene spa and its menu of traditional Red Dao herbal baths and massage are the perfect antidotes to a hard hike around the Sapa hills.

Why we recommend Topas Ecolodge

"Sapa can feel centuries removed from most destinations on Earth, and this is the feeling you get at Topas Eco Lodge. Not only were the stilted common buildings sourced from a nearby community of ethnic Thay people, but the property offers one of the area’s most culturally enriching travel experiences. Wake in the morning to the mist rising with the sun, and spend your days exploring the surrounding forests and villages."
