Phuket, Thailand

Set on picturesque Nai Yang Beach on Phuket’s North Western shore, The Slate is a resort deeply rooted to the island’s history of tin mining and rubber harvesting, evident in its interiors and facade. Yet, the surrounding rainforest and seabreeze is a welcome reprieve for holiday makers looking to unwind in Thailand.

The Slate prides itself on outstanding service quality and its designer villas and suites. Transformed from a former tin mine, landscape architect Bill Bensley breathed life into the property by retaining the heritage of the island and giving it a touch of post-modern opulence.

Apart from combing the beaches, your stomach will be kept happy by its 8 restaurants and bars, offering a variety of cuisines to tempt the tastebuds. Budding cooks will be kept busy by the regionally acclaimed Moo’s kitchen Thai Cooking class.

The phenomenal COQOON Spa takes a spa experience to a new high with its health and lifestyle treatments that take place in treetop cocoons.

Lightfoot Travel provides tailor-made itineraries that include daily tours and excursions, restaurant recommendations and bookings, and can incorporate Phuket into a greater Thailand and Asian holiday. The Slate Testimonials

Hi Matt,

We really enjoyed the holiday, you recommended the right resort for us, thank you! We visited the Meridien in the south for a day because friends of ours were staying there, and we’re so pleased we were at the Indigo!

We found the holiday very relaxing. We spent a lot of time at the family pool, ate a lot at all the different restaurants and on the beach and enjoyed sunsets on the beach most nights.  The room was very nice for the 5 of us. It worked out really well.

The trip to Khao Sok was excellent. The pick up was spot on 8.30 (we were actually 5 mins late!), the guide was fun and knowledgable, and the elephant trek was very well done; the elephants seemed well looked after and the guides were kind. The canoeing on the river was really great, beautiful and very well organised also. It was a good day trip.

Thanks so much for the good recommendation!
