Etosha National Park, Namibia
The Mushara Outpost is situated a mere 10 kilometers from the Von Lindequist gate of the world famous Etosha National Park. This home away from home sets the standard for luxury accommodation and style.
The 8 spacious and fantastically luxurious custom made tents sleep 16 guests in total. The tents are dotted along the banks of an ancient dry riverbed known to the locals as an “omaramba”. They are set on a wooden deck and raised above the ground, giving you a new perspective of the bush. A large glass sliding door leads into the tent and all windows and doors are conveniently covered with a fly-screen. The furnishing of the ten is minimal with a wonderful light feel to it which is echoed throughout the lodge.
Activities are based around game viewing in Etosha National Park, which can be explored with a guide or on your own as a self drive. The park itself is over 22,000sqkm in size and is home to a great number of plains game such as zebra, kudu, Oryx, wildebeest, giraffe and elephants can also be seen in large herds. Lions dominate the food chain and cleverly use waterholes as hunting grounds which make for some unforgettable sightings. There is also a lovely swimming pool to cool off in after a long game drive and plenty of areas to relax in with a good book in the main house.
Lightfoot Travel provides tailor-made itineraries that include daily tours and excursions, restaurant recommendations and bookings, and can incorporate Etosha into a greater Namibia and African holiday.
