With 10 large stone-and-glass split-level desert suites, built in the side of a mountain, the lodge offers everything you?ll need to cope with the climatic extremes of the desert including air-conditioning, outside showers, fireplace and even a personal compact telescope for observing the cosmos and some comfortable game viewing from your room. Here in the reserve, you can expect to see an amazing variety of animals including onyx, zebras, giraffes, springbok, antelope and over 115 species of birds.
The lodge serves fine fare in both its indoor and outdoor dining areas, where delicious Pan African meals can be complemented by a fine selection of wines, on display at the walk-in cellar. If you’re one to jump at the opportunity for adventure, go on quad biking adventures in the dunes – the Soussusvlei dunes are among the world’s highest, explore the reserve whilst on nature drives in open 4WD vehicles or jump into a hot-air balloon for a scenic ride over the Namib.

Located in the NamibRand Nature Reserve, Sossusvlei Lodge is situated in Southern Namibia amidst the Namib Desert, at the entrance gate to the famous Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon in the Namib Nauklauft Park. It is located 330km from Windhoek, which is a 4 hour drive to the lodge
There are 10 villas that are surrounded by the mountains and sand dunes of the Namib Desert, each villa in Soussusvlei Desert Lodge has a refreshing lodge pool and a walk-in wine cellar which provides a variety of refreshments. Each villa also comprises of an open dining veranda while the suites are air conditioned with a cosy fireplace.

Guests can enjoy Sossusvlei Hot Air Ballooning, Quad biking, Desert activities, scenic drives and star gazing. There is also a lot of wildlife to be spotted in the area and game drives and/ or walks are a highlight
Children are welcomed. There is a WILDChild programme specially designed for children. Children can embark on activities such as tracking, fishing, making traditional bows and arrows, beading, crafting, painting and having fun at the lodge garden or kitchen. Young guests will receive a different educational or bush oriented gift and new expeditions to carry out at the end of each journey. There are recommended family tours as well such as the Namibia Dunes and Desert Safari.
