Soneva Fushi

Maldives

Fringed by white sand beaches, Soneva Fushi is a stylish barefoot luxury haven located in the Baa Atoll in the Maldives.

A true Robinson Crusoe hideaway, the spacious villas ooze style and are built from wood and palm thatch. Each villa opens to its very own stretch of white sand beach, whilst many also include private sea water swimming pools. Guests are also assigned a Mr or Ms Friday butler to ensure that your stay is never less than superb.

Watch the sun set from an overwater hammock at Bar(a)bara and then dive into one of Soneva Fushi’s many dining experiences – from gourmet menus across cultures and cuisines, to organic offerings, simple barbecues and romantic meals.

The Den is the place for children. This two-floor open-air playground boasts a Nemo-shaped toddler pool, a saltwater pool with slide and pirate ship, a music room full of instruments, dress-up area, cinema and bar for mixing mocktails.

Why we recommend Soneva Fushi

Soneva Fushi in the Maldives is the original barefoot retreat with its ‘no news, no shoes’ mantra and Robinson Crusoe-style villas. We’re also fans of the chic eco-credentials: the property has its own vegetable garden, a recycling centre, solar power plant and a glass-blowing studio to turn waste into works of art. The facilities for children here are also fantastic.
