Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda
Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge is Rwanda’s leading gorilla lodge, located in the rugged landscape of Volcanoes National Park, one of the most thrilling and dramatic wildlife terrains in the world. The property enjoys a stunning location with views over the Virunga Volcanoes and the foothills that wind between the range.
Guest cottages and the main lodge have been expertly constructed and beautifully appointed in authentic Rwandese style. Five cottages, two suites, and one family cottage are finished with terra cotta tile roofs, fireplaces, and sheltered verandas. Large sitting areas, comfortable beds, and stylish ensuite bathrooms provide all the comforts of home, in the rugged wild.
The Lodge is run by a community trust that uses the guest fees to drive socio-economic conservation initiatives in the adjacent communities, initiatives that play a vital role in preserving the incredible landscape where gorillas, monkeys, and birds roam wild.
Lightfoot Travel provides tailor-made itineraries that include daily tours and excursions, restaurant recommendations and bookings, and can incorporate Volcanoes National Park into a greater Rwanda or African holiday.
