Hosting 6 stone and wood chalet-suites, each with a large bedroom and an en-suite bathroom, &Beyond Phinda Rock Lodge is suspended from the edge of a rocky cliff in the Phinda Game Reserve. Offering spectacular views of Leopard Rock and the valley below, each suite is furbished with Mexican and Spanish artwork and has its own private lounge, deck and plunge pool.
Enjoy striking, fiery sunsets as you feast on a delicious Pan African dinner by the deck or attend the lodge’s bush banquets set in bush clearings under the African night sky. Game drives are possible twice daily in open safari vehicles and you can go on nature walks or chose a different route via a riverboat cruise along the Mzinene River. The reserve is home to an abundance of general game and prolific bird life such as lion, elephant, cheetah, leopard, rhino and hippo. If you want more variety in your adventure, the lodge also offers scenic coastal flights, snorkelling and scuba diving expeditions, deep-sea fishing and cultural visits.

&Beyond Phinda Rock Lodge is a romantic wilderness getaway set in the Northern reaches of KwaZulu-Natal, an 80-minute flight from Johannesburg to Richards Bay Airport, followed by an approximate 2-hour road transfer.
&Beyond Phinda Rock Lodge is suspended from the edge of a rocky cliff in the Phinda Private Game Reserve, hosting 6 stone and wood suites. Each comprises of a large bedroom and en-suite bathroom furnished with Mexican and Spanish artworks. The private lounge and plunge pool on the expansive deck also provides stunning vistas of Leopard Rock and the valley below.

&Beyond Phinda Rock Lodge provides excellent Big Five game viewing, with spectacular sightings of the elusive cheetah and the rare black rhino in this sanctuary for threatened wildlife. It is near to the popular breeding grounds of the highly endangered sea turtles, and spectacular coral reef diving in the Indian Ocean is also easily accessible nearby. Other activities include swimming with whale sharks, Zulu Village tours and Maputaland Beach adventures.
