Offbeat Meru Camp sits on the edge of Meru National Park in the Bisanandi National Reserve. The stunning location overlooks the Bisanandi River. International flights arrive at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta Airport. From there it is a short drive to Wilson Domestic Airport, with scheduled flights to Siana Springs airstrip, a 1-hour drive to camp.
Offbeat Meru includes just six traditional tents – two twins, three doubles, and one family tent - sleeping a maximum of 12 guests. Enter the large walk-in canvas structures to find enormous iron beds draped in romantic mosquito netting, solar lighting, and fine linens. Ensuite bathrooms with traditional safari showers, washbasins, and flush loos offer the conveniences of home.
Meals are taken in the main tent, featuring a bar/library area to relax and mingle with other guests, and a dining area, where you will enjoy a variety of gourmet cuisine. There is also an infinity pool offering cool refreshment at the end of the day. Spaces are decorated with traditional Kenyan textiles and materials, providing an authentic yet elegant experience.
