Mwaleshi Camp lies on the banks of Mwaleshi River, in the remote North Luangwa National Park in Zambia. This owner-run luxury bushcamp is situated in an area renowned for its huge herds of elephant and buffalo. The camp has a simple, rustic style and is built every year from scratch.
Offering warm hospitality, superb cuisine and incredible game viewing, Mwaleshi Camp will appeal to those seeking an authentic and unforgettable walking safari experience in an enchanting setting.
The camp provides just four spacious and comfortable open-fronted chalets built from reed and thatch. Each one is simply furnished in safari chic style and features an open-air bathroom and spectacular views across the river.
Activities focus solely on walking safaris accompanied by an experienced guide and tracker. After a tiring day, cool off in the river or sip a G&T and watch as herds of buffalo, wildebeest and lion pass by.

Mwaleshi Camp Information
- Location and getting there:
The camp is located in the North Luangwa National Park in Zambia. It is 10 km from the Mwaleshi and Luangwa River confluence. Mfuwe Airport is a 50-minute light aircraft flight away.
Each of the 4 chalets is simply furnished and features queen-size or twin beds with brightly coloured quilts and an open-air, ensuite bathroom.
Main area with bar, lounge and dining area.
The focus is solely on walking safaris and these generally last 3-4 hours. A day trip to Mwaleshi Falls is not to be missed.
Children aged 12 or over are permitted at the camp but given the nature of the camp it is more suited to couples or those with older kids.
