Linkwasha Camp

Hwange National Park

If you’re looking for style and comfort in the heart of the Zimbabwean wild, look no further than Linkwasha Camp. The most luxurious camp in Hwange National Park, this respite has easy access to the Ngamo Plains and all the best sites in the area.

The open and airy camp design blends seamlessly into the surroundings, offering panoramic views. The camp sleeps 22 guests in seven twin/double tents and two family tents, each decorated in a blend of modern and traditional African style.

The main social area includes multi-level decks, and a dining room, bar, and lounge overlooking the plains. There's a pool for dips after game drives and, during the colder months, there is a cosy winter lounge with a fireplace and library.

As well as game drives and walking safaris guests can visit the local village and learn about the traditional ways of life. At night, enjoy a thrilling night under the stars on a custom-built sleep-out deck where you can fall asleep with the sounds of Africa as your lullaby.

Accommodation

Linkwasha Camp sleeps up to 22 guests in seven twin/double tents and two 2-bedroom family tents, each impeccably decorated in a blend of modern and traditional African style. Wide-plank wood flooring is warmed by the sun’s rays. Canvas ceilings soar above, softening the space, while romantic mosquito-netting floats in the breeze around large sumptuously appointed beds. Whether in bed or sitting comfortably in the lounge, you’ll enjoy views across the plains from floor-to-ceiling windows that open fully into the warm night air.

Activities

Sitting on a private concession, Linkwasha Camp gives guests the opportunity to enjoy a more bespoke safari experience than if you were situated within the national park. Without the restrictions and regulations of the park, guests are free to enjoy both day and night game drives as well as exceptional walking safaris with some of the best Zimbabwean guides in Africa, guides who will blow you away with their knowledge and passion for their work.

Wildlife is the focus, but the history of Hwange National Park is well worth a look. Wilderness Safaris, the Linkwasha Camp operator, sponsors a number of researchers in the area and guests at the camp have the opportunity to speak with them about the work they’re doing. Take some time to visit one of the community programs supported by the camp and see first-hand the positive impact tourism is having, a positive impact supported by each and every guest at Linkwasha Camp.

Children

The Linkwahsa operator, Wilderness Safaris, is one of the leading safari operators caring for families. Guides and staff will tailor the experience to make an unforgettable safari for guests of all ages, but please keep in mind that Linkwasha does not accept children below the age of 6.

Why we recommend Linkwasha Camp

Sitting on a private concession, Linkwasha Camp offers a mix of contemporary and classic style accommodation in the heart of Hwange National Park. What's really special about this place is that it's located in a privet concession and is low to the ground which makes you feel like you're part of the bush. Wildlife can be spotted around the camp daily, and there's an amazing hide by the waterhole.
