La Posta Vecchia is a magnificent villa hotel set in enchanting gardens in the coastal town of Ladispoli, near Rome in Italy. This historic, luxury boutique hotel was built in the 17th century above two Roman villa ruins by Prince Orsini. It was also the home of J. Paul Getty in the 1960s, who furnished it with antiques and artworks from around the world.
The terracotta-hued villa has an air of refined elegance and offers warm hospitality, stunning accommodation and superb facilities including a Michelin-starred restaurant, a private beach club and an exquisite indoor pool. It will appeal to those seeking an exclusive and intimate hideaway in an idyllic setting.
La Posta Vecchia provides 19 spacious and individually designed rooms, which combine historic charm with modern comforts and most offer breathtaking views across the sea. Sumptuous interiors are furnished in Renaissance style and feature lavish marble bathrooms. For those wishing to indulge the Master Getty Suite is sublime.
There is an array of activities and excursions on offer from cooking classes and wine tasting to trips into Rome. You can also visit the Roman ruins under the villa and go a boat tour to explore the Lazio coastline. Lightfoot Travel can create a personalised itinerary to ensure you make the most of your stay.
