Naboisho Conservancy, Kenya
Located on a secluded valley on the Eastern side of Kenya’s Naboisho Conservancy and surrounded by acacia trees lies Kicheche Valley is an intimate luxury tented camp, decked with West Africa furniture as well as Swahili artefacts, offering just 6 tents. This unfenced retreat boasts wonderful views of the plains below, teeming with great game and landscapes.
Each of the spacious and comfortable luxury tents are perched on platforms, built on top of rock foundations, and provide a soothing environment from which to admire the views, the wildlife and relax.
The dining and lounge area is located within vicinity to a spring, which attracts plenty of wildlife which guests can observe as they dine or relax in the lounges plush armchairs and sofas.
In terms of activities, there is plenty to do and see at Kicheche Valley and the region boasts the biggest population of giraffe in the Mara eco-system. Game drives are kept as intimate as possible, with four-seated Land Cruisers and guests have a guide assigned to them for the duration of their stay. In addition to giraffes, big cats, elephants are a big draw at Kicheche Valley.

Kicheche Valley is located in a 50,000 hectare conservancy, close to the Enniskeria rier region and the vast plains of the Masai Mara. The property is located near to the Naboishio airstrip, and from there, it is a 15-30 minute car transfer.
With only 6 luxury tented camps accommodating up to 12 guests, Kicheche Valley is a very intimate retreat. The décor is inspired by Western African and Swahili cultures and the octagonal shaped tents offer comfortable abodes with bathroom, with running hot water and a deck with wicker veranda chairs.
Game viewing is the main draw at Kicheche Valley and with superb big cat, elephant and giraffe viewing, guests are in for a treat. Birdwatching is also a great activity, with unusual and rare species that can be observed from the camp itself.
Children are welcome though better suited to those that are slightly older as the camp is unfenced and there are high drops from the tents’ platform. Kids-friendly meals as well as activities can be organised.
